Tracie Stanfield is an internationally recognized choreographer, educator and creative consultant. Her work has been commissioned throughout the US and for companies throughout South America, Mexico, Japan, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Canada and Turkey. Her signature voice as a choreographer has helped create and define contemporary lyrical movement in concert and commercial dance. Dance Magazine calls her classes “inspiring’” and the Huffington Post UK says Tracie “thrilled and mesmerized with her masterful fusion of contemporary and classical dance forms”.
In New York City, Tracie Stanfield’s choreography has been seen at Symphony Space, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Dixon Place, SUNY Purchase, PACE University, Baruch College, The Duke Theatre, Brooklyn College, Joyce SoHo and Untermyer Park in Yonkers. She has choreographed for Caseology Watches, Verismo Opera Company, Tapestry Dance Company, NYC Choreographers’ Ball, Brooklyn Dance Festival Company and Mesa State University. Tracie served as Resident Choreographer for the Booking Dance Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is the recipient of The Spirit of Elan Award for her work with SynthesisDANCE.
Tracie Stanfield is on faculty at Broadway Dance Center. Her teaching highlights include Peridance Capezio Center, Millennium Philadelphia, Rock School West, Marymount Manhattan College, The Pulse on Tour, Fluid Dance Conventions, Motion Dance Conventions, Tapestry Dance Company and Dance Masters of America. Tracie has been regularly featured in Dance Spirit and Dance Teacher Magazine as well as working with professional and aspiring professional dancers internationally. She is the Artistic Director of the Brooklyn Dance Festival and on the Advisory Board of Young Choreographers’ Festival and various dance organizations that promote the future of dance for all audiences. Tracie is an Educational Advisor and Master Teacher for SIETEOCHO, a pre professional training program in Mexico City.
